Our Story

ToothBank was founded by Randy Garland after years of watching viable stem cells get discarded in dental offices every day.

Cord blood banking had become standard practice for many newborns, but families who missed that window — or who had additional children — had no second opportunity to preserve their child's stem cells. Meanwhile, baby teeth and wisdom teeth, rich in some of the most regenerative cells in the human body, were being thrown out by the millions.

The science was clear. The opportunity was being missed.

We founded ToothBank to change that. Our mission is simple: make industry-leading dental stem cell preservation affordable enough for every family — and stand behind it with the credibility of practicing dental professionals.

Today, we operate from San Diego, California, with secure cryogenic storage at our partner facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. We're proud to be one of the most affordable, accessible dental stem cell banks in the country — without compromising on the science or the standards.
